Research & Development

Focus Research & Development Pvt. Ltd., an associate of Life IT has developed a Med-Colorimeter which is a simple paper cartage integrated with a Smartphone-type device for rapid testing of pathological samples.

Considering the benefits of spot diagnosis, these sorts of diagnostic tools are likely to be very helpful for primary healthcare centers and thus will be minimizing the efforts of the clinicians and will simultaneously reduce the unnecessary crowds.

Prof. Suman Chakraborty

This project was led by Prof Suman Chakraborty, an eminent Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department and Dean of Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy, IIT Kharagpur. Prof. Chakraborty is also the Founder-Director of Focus Research & Development Pvt. Ltd.

Prof. Chakraborty has received various National and International awards for his contribution in Science & Technology.

He received the prestigious Santi Swaroop Bhatnagar Award for Science and Technology, the highest science award in India, and became the youngest Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering.
